The Power of Belief: How Aditya Ade and Jinisha Oswal Transformed Their Lives at Sunderji Institute of Special School
In a world where possibilities can seem limited, the inspiring journeys of Aditya Ade and Jinisha Oswal shine as powerful examples of what happens when belief meets opportunity. Their paths, though unique, were both transformed at Sunderji Institute of Special School a beacon for special education and empowerment for children with special needs.
Overcoming Challenges with the Right Support
Diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome at the age of five, Aditya Ade struggled with speech, hyperactivity, and anxiety. A mainstream school environment proved overwhelming, leading to bullying and regression. Similarly, Jinisha Oswal, born with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, faced developmental challenges that slowed her progress in early education. Her initial mainstream schooling lacked the specialized support she needed, causing self-doubt and stagnation.
Everything changed when both Aditya and Jinisha enrolled at the Sunderji Institute of Special School, a leading special education school in Pune. Here, they found not just a school but a safe, nurturing environment with educators who believed in their potential.
At Sunderji, belief is not just a concept—it is a practice. Each child is seen through the lens of their abilities rather than limitations. This educational approach allowed Aditya and Jinisha to truly thrive.
With the school’s guidance, Aditya began to shine. One of his most remarkable achievements was learning to travel independently—first by cycling to tuitions, then to school. He later even mastered riding an electric scooter, thanks to the life skills taught at the institute.
Aditya also found his stride in sports for children with special needs, excelling in basketball, cricket, and badminton. At the Skill Development Centre, he became more responsible by helping teachers, assisting peers, and managing household chores. Today, Aditya is a confident, self-reliant young man capable of managing his own daily life.
For Jinisha, the school offered not just education, but inspiration. With individualized support and encouragement, she achieved academic success scoring an outstanding 92.2% in her Grade 10 board exams. She later completed a Diploma in Graphic Design, entirely independently.
Beyond academics, Jinisha explored a world of creativity excelling in mehndi art, dance, music, drawing, and even skating. Her transformation also improved her communication, deepening personal relationships with family, friends, and peers.
Today, Jinisha is a valued Learning Support Assistant at the Skill Development Centre, where she mentors other students with the same compassion she once received.
The journeys of Aditya and Jinisha are living proof that with the right support system, children with special needs can not only overcome challenges—but thrive.
Sunderji Institute of Special School is more than just a school it’s a place where every child is seen, heard, and supported. With belief and the right environment, students like Aditya and Jinisha show us that children with special needs can achieve independence, purpose, and joy.
Their stories remind us all: when belief is combined with opportunity, there are no limits to what can be achieved.
